Offline Circulation: Follett Remote for No Destiny or Internet Connection

Q:  I cannot access Destiny or the Internet.  How do I check out?

A:  There are two ways you can check out if your Internet is down:

  1. Follett Remote. (See information below.)
  2. Write down the patron's information and the barcodes of the items.  Keep a running list to manually enter into Destiny when your connection is reestablished.

Q:  What is Follett Remote? 

A:  Follett Remote is a program you can use on your computer to track library or textbook materials.  You can use it to check in, check out, and inventory your items.  It has to be downloaded to your computer.  Click on the Follett Remote to download.

Q:  How do I set up Follett Remote after I download it?

Q:  I used Follett Remote, now what do I do?

A:  When Destiny becomes available again go to Circulation -> Offline Circulation.  Choose the date the of the transactions then Browse to your computer's hard drive, C:,  to find your Follett Remote files.  Check the appropriate boxes and click on Upload.
